I am back after a few days in the snow eating too much chocolate!
I had a very very very bad time last Sunday when I was offered a cigarette after a lot of drinks, I took it - thought about lighting it and then gave it back. I still wanted it badly though. I eventually managed to reason myself but I felt deprived for hours afterwards.
I am now back to "normal" but I dread any future such situations. I am so disappointed that I even considered smoking again after 2 months without and that I felt deprived whilst knowing full well I was kidding myself.
I am also a bit depressed that it may happen again and again...
Hi everyone - I'm here and still quit. Had my two eldest grandchildren stop at the weekend felt chuffed that I never felt the need or the guilt to creep outside for cig.
PS - Just packing my bags to go into the 2 month room. Had a sneaky look round the door and it's looking good;)
Jan you have done 2 months so now you start month 3 Well done. Linda xxxxxxxxx
Ps I will stay here with you till tuesday HEHEHE
In that case I shall unpack now, must say the room is looking bright and clean and the company is great. Well done on your quit Linda - see you soon in the 4 month roomxxxx
hi Team. I'm back!!! Sorry not been able to get on line, had internet problem. But i've still not had a fag. Been tempted tho!! glad ur all here and doing so well. Missed you all xxx debsblair xxx
Not sure about cracking it - I am still taking it a day at a time. Now on 0.5 champix - no difference. I am stopping altogether this week and now feel more relaxed about it. I see myself as a non smoker rather than someone quitting - I guess it is a big step for me.
Next challenge is to undo the damage done by too many sweets since quit day :o. I wish they had a champix-like pill for it!
I feel on top of the world today:cool: Have been off the patches altogether for 8 days now. Bit wobbly at first but persevered. I feel so calm at the moment and sleeping like a log now. Oh what bliss it is not waking up every hour on the hour.

Hi Cat - Same here. My cholesterol is quite high but stable at the moment so I am having to watch what I eat. They haven't put me on tablets as it is stable so finding it very hard to keep off all the goodies that your not allowed
I think this photo says it all re sleeping/dieting.
keep it up and keep off em all...You're doing great!
Bill
PS one thing I really like is to be able to get on here and for it to be OK to be still banging on about this after so long...people not involved in a quit just naturally assume it's all over after a month or so..
