Hey team - it has been awhile since I last logged on and posted. Very busy at work and I guess as time goes, I no longer think about quitting smoking as much so do not feel the need to log on here really...bad me
I cut the Champix to the am 1mg pill only - with no effects to report. I have spoken to my advisor and will see how it goes on this until I finish the pack and then I'll either continue at 5 mg for a few days or stop altogether - we will see when I get to that point. What about you also on Champix?
...and the others? still here and kicking?

Hi - I'm here. Went to see nurse this morning and she has put me on 5 mg patches for a fortnight as she doesn't want me to light up after doing so well (ouch - just banged me head on the door jamb:D:D:D) after which I will hopefully not have to use them again. Anyway, the gist of this is that I am still quit.
I don't know if you read my experience in coming off Champix but (long story short) I had cut down my dose (as have you) until I was on one tablet every other day. I didn't notice any difference in cravings or mood so was going to continue doing that dosage until I felt able to come off them.
Then, last month, I went on holiday for a week with a group of smoking friends in Barcelona and only managed to forget my tablets.
I could have cried!! There was no way I could do this without Champix.........but I DID!!!!!
No problems.
So since 1/3/08 I have been fag/champix free.
I worked out that my course was (as prescribed) 84 days long - I did it in 51 days.
Glad your doing well think most of the team are lost a few i think but still over 50% of us left so its all good , just going to wean myself of the nico chewing gum i say wean but i only chew 5-6 a day so i dont think its gonna be hard . Now comes the weight issue that needs tackling sure that will sort itself out im just pleased i dont stink anymore and my house smell nice and i feel so much better in myself .

Tx for the Champix tip experience Cword - so far so good. I seem to forget to take my am pill until very late in the day - but I am still a bit scared at the idea of going without...
I have also put on a few pounds - this will be a new project to tackle (helped no doubt by the impending summer season
Have any of you found that you sleep so much better? I also feel awake during the day and no longer suffer from those energy crashes I used to have...
I have not had a patch on since Sunday. Forgot Monday - did ok so didn't bother Tuesday - did ok but had a really rotten night. Couldn't get off to sleep - not sure whether it was due to not putting the patches on or I was over tired. Will have to see what tonight brings I guess:cool: I have got a prescription for 5 mg patches but just want to see if I can do without them now. If not, I shall have to use the prescription.
Im still here, 66 days now, am well pleased with myself. Had a rough time of cravings a couple of weeks ago, but now feel much better.
Had my blood pressure taken yesterday (am on meds for high bp) and unfortunately it is still too high even with no cigs, am defo eating too much junk, think thats the problem, and have put on about 10 lb in weight so more blood tests for cholesteral and all that. Still, im not smoking so things can only improve.
Glad everyone is doing ok, only a couple more to check in.
