Overall today hasn't been too bad. I am starting to see the cravings for what they are. A long time habit trying to avoid death. The good news is, a new habit is on the rise and winning. The habit of saying no. When that urge comes up and i want to head out for a fag I tell myself no. I actually feel a little high when I say no. I take some times to breathe and I let myself feel pride in rejecting the habit.
I have noticed some gross bits coming up when I cough. I assume it is tar being removed. It was quite unpleasant at first now I see it as my lungs cleaning themselves.
Also, I got my flowers (lady stuff) today. I has put a bit of strain on the quit but on the plus side I am feeling extra stubborn about saying quit. lol!
Questions for you:
Have you noticed bits coming up from your lungs? Mine are little grey things. I mostly want to see if this is common.
For the ladies. If you have had your monthly while quitting, how has it been? Did it add to the struggle or was it about the same?
Day 6 - I think i'm winning!

Hi RiverSong, must have missed this earlier!
Yes, I've notived lots of gunk coming out of my lungs - have had a chest infection too but have definitely seen *stuff* coming up. Proves how stupid I was thinking that smoking lights was somehow "safer" doesn't it?
Mother Nature's visit doesn't make it easier, but it wasn't as bad as I was thinking it would be. I was more tearful than normal, probably a bit worse for me 'cos that was another time I smoked more than normal - always have - and I've got to adjust to not having the crutch.
OMG...of course, you chapettes have that to deal with too, oh boy that must be wierd, hellish, no idea actually as "that time of the month" for me usually means payday again at last
Glad you got through it ok, another set of triggers dealt with - go you!
