If I can just keep telling myself hour by hour that I don't want to smoke I might complete this day.
Having the most trouble in the evening when I get home. I haven't been able to find any activity that is filling up the time I was sitting outside chilling with a smoke and a cold beer or a glass of wine!! grrrrrrrrr !!!!
Days are not as bad, still getting away from my desk every so often to go out for air, not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing? Or should I not go out at all....
One last question..... last night I happened to find an E cig. in a kitchen drawer (yes, you know what I was rummaging for) I think I bought it like two years ago and never used it. Anyway I was going to try it because I haven't used any aids at all but a friend said he didn't recommend it as it would keep me going through the actual motion of smoking which kind of makes sense. Any thoughts on using these? Should I just throw it out..... thx
A friend of mine used an eCig, but found that he used it more than an actual cigarette in the end. I think your friend is right.
You've done three days now, which means you can do it without anyway!! You've done so well so far, so just stick to your guns.
I used exercise to fill the gaps, as it gets the endorphines going in your brain, and perks you right up! So maybe go for a nice walk out and about and get some fresh air!
I had a feeling that was going to be the problem with the E-cig. It is too easy to walk around with it. Ok, when I get home it goes in the rubbish!!
Just not sure if I should get on the patch or just continue CT. It's working out so far but just barely at some moments.
I bought an elliptical about 8 months ago and plan on getting back on it daily. Used to do 45 min 6 times a week just 3 years ago. Now can barely complete 10 minutes without heart rate being waaay too high. I plan on making this a nightly exercise routine so I can fill in that time. Besides I know I will never work out at 6 am, EVER!!! LOL
I was just reading the boards on people's reasons for quitting. Really useful stuff. Whew I am glad I found this place because I know for sure I would have smoked already without it.... so thank you !!!!
