Hey Claire,

Excellent stuff....can't quite believe it myself as it does seems that you just started yesterday, but obviously not as now your celebrating day 61

Remember to remind the real World about your amazing achievement 'cos you know that it is a fantastic achievement. And around about now the real World have got used to you as a non smoker and not celebrating this epic turnaround as much as they should - remind them and slap them upside their heads if they aren't as supportive as they should be!!

If you read the links then keep doing so. If you haven't so far then look in and read about. Both ways....just read along. A previous member that's now a year plus mentioned about reading ahead of where you are just to get an understanding of what you'll go through. Seems like a good idea and worth a try.

Hi Claire and well bl***y done on reaching your third month, I also had a really bad time round the three month mark, in fact think it was my worst time of quit so far, stress anxiety you name it but you have come through and Im sure will continue to be a non smoker, sorry I have been absent a little just lately but settling in to new house and finding it pretty hectic, speak soon xx

Thanks Fiona and Cav,

i am feeling so much better now.

Hi Jam,

how is the settling into your new house going?I noticed that a few weeks ago was probably the worst i have had since week 1! But now i have overcome that, all is good again, phew!!!

Cav- i have pretty much read every link of the forum, lol, i used it as distraction/encouragement during the first week or so, just to take my mind off having a ciggie, and confirm my quit- i am so glad i did, as it really did help. However- i have never come across the one about changing amounts of sleep in your signature...is it new or have i just not noticed it before?

Its a really relevant thing to me at the moment, as i have been trying to work out whats going on with my sleeping patterns!

Since quitting i am yet to get rid of that exhausted feeling, and just cannot seem to sleep enough! No matter how much sleep i get, or how little, i wake up exhausted!

Is this still commmon in month 3?

Sorry I missed this one hun... three months hey? Well done you Claire.

With reference to the tiredness thing, most people suffer from this, I think. I have been taking a high dose of vitamin c and a good fish oil and that seems to have helped?

Keep going, Jane and I and the other August quitters are not far behind you!

:)

Excellent news, Claire. I only found out how helpful after my 3 months. But it's never too late ;) I'd recommend changing 'did' to 'does' as even though it does get easier to resist and wholly grasp life free from nicotine there can be occasions that pop up once in a while. Nothing wrong with a bit of reafirmation.

Nope, it's not new...been there for ages. Noticed sleeping and lack of was affecting quite a few members...posted up the link for those that are interested.

Waking up feeling exhausted isn't necessarily common at month 3. As you already know sleep patterns are disrupted when we initially stop smoking but stabilize as we get further into the quit. Each of us have differing experiences...but if you have great concerns then consult with your medical advisor.

Thanks Tink, i cant believe its been so long!!

Cav-you are right, i shouldnt get complacent, i am still an addict, i am just choosing not to smoke.

In regards to the tiredness, i think a lot of it is diet related, so i am going to eat healthily, eat more often, and get exercise! That should help!!
