Thanks all, it was actually pretty easy and didn't think about smoking at all, which was helped that only 1 of about 40 colleagues smoke - a dying breed if you pardon the pun...

When I was outside waiting for the taxi and there were people smoking in front of me, I ****ysed them closely (secretly of course) and tried to picture myself smoking and how it would feel and I came to the conclusion it would be pretty rank, another hurdle done.

In regards to the hangover, maybe it is a psychological thing that my mind is associating a hangover with smoking and manifesting in the physical? Just a thought...
