Hello everybody,

At last completed my mark of 45 days yesterday. From the very first day of my quit I am following this forum and it have helped me a lot, my gratitude to this positive forum. I had smoked since my age of 16. I am 30 now so smoked for 14 years ( i'm terrible in maths :P). I was getting signals of illness during the last days before quitting. But was determined to quit so started my quit on 15th August the Indian Independence Day. So it was a tribute to my country to be free from evil of smoking.

Thus, after 45 days of waiting I was eager to post in this lovely forum...they have helped me a lot . My gratitude and thanks to all the responsible quitters here. I will delete this post on 29th Dec 2012 at 1500 hrs IST :( as I will smoke again from 29th Dec 2012 to 4th January 2013 . After this quit from 4th Jan onwards and again after waiting for 45 days I will post here in Month 2 room :D :).

Regards

Niladri Roy

Don't know how many days today...but near 60 days and my omission from this room is nearby, motivating myself constantly to avoid fags. Today is a very bad day, severe cravings are coming like waves, feeling lonely depressed, still holding high, but niccobitch is constantly poking me for love-making:p . Hope that I can manage not to love but to hate and stay in my quit. Diary for todays ends.

Hello themagic32,

yes still today i am holding tight, tomorrow is a new day. The time period specified there is my tour to the himalayas and certainly i will be with the smokers (i knw its a xcuse) so may not hold my quit tight. But it is a acid test to me. Here now for about over 50 days i have always association with smokers but din't took a fag. Also i want to c after 4months if i smoke for 7days will it relapse or not. i want to test my will power.

Wow, a trip to the Himalayas. That's awesome. Well first of all, you'll need to put all of your efforts in to getting to 29th Dec. When (not if) you get there, you can judge how you feel and make a decision.

I wish you well my friend.

Hi Tiger

Well done on the progress you have made in your quit! With the strength you have already shown I know it will be possible for you to not smoke during your awesome trip to the Himalayas. Especially because then you will need your newly regained respiratory health more than ever due to the heights and thin air.

I have heard from many smokers who have many different views about smoking. All of them agree on one fact, however: One puff is one too many, but a thousand are never enough. The only way to remain free of this addiction is to never ever again take another puff.

That is what I wish for you.
