Managing my craves with deep breaths is working for me. I was sorely tempted to head to the shops for chocolate for a wee binge last night but I resisted and ate grapes instead.
The boys and my husband got back last night so normal service resumes and goodbye peace and quiet. It was a bit challenging with dh smoking at the back door. The smell was not pleasant and not tempting but I will be on my guard for temptation.

distrating your mind while your having a crave is the key
your also sounding positive which is always the best way to feel
i bet you missed them while they were away though even with the noise
glad the smell of someone smoking didnt appeal i know when i was living with a smoker and first quit it used to make me feel sick everytime i got a whiff and it didnt appeal to me one bit
and if you do get an urge just smell one of the used ciggie butts
Well done Ellie. I know it seems like it's going slowly but I'm looking back on the last week and thinking that it really wasn't all that slow. I know what you mean tho, when you get a crave it seems to last forever. On the plus side, you are sticking with it. I was up and ready this morning before I realised that I had reached a week because I didn't think about them first thing. It does get easier and people are here to help you when it isn't easy.
I am feeling good this morning. I had a really good sleep last night. I went swimming in the evening and it seems to have done the trick because I went out like a light. I plan to do the same this evening.
Another thing I have done differently is cut out alcohol. It has been a big help in reducing the evening craves. I bought some fancy fruit drinks and I had a couple of glasses of that instead of wine last night.
Another huge positive is having money on my purse. I have not been near a cashpoint since Saturday!
The bickering of the boys can be a bit much but no more using it as an excuse to pop into the garden to smoke. I should do some weeding instead but I haven't quite resorted to that as a crave buster. Although my house is looking remarkably clean.
your sounding really positive and upbeat which is fab
its great having some money left hope your going to put it to one side so you can treat yourself and not spend it all on the boys  i know thats easier said then done though
