I wish I knew why it's so hard. Maybe it would be better if we could go into some sort of detox and come out brand new and shiny. I, for one, have had a bad day. I decided to cut my 7mg patches in half knowing that 3 days later I'm going to suffer but prepared for it. Or so I thought. Silly me. Woke up this morning to mail on my ipad but none on my Mac. No problem. I do the usual things to sort it out except my account is with mobile me and there is no mobile me. Just the sort of moment where I would reach for the fags. Perhaps I'll become an alcoholic instead of a smoker

Ur not alone its deSd hard to the point of me being back on the sleeping tablets... Would be good if we could sleep for a few months and wake a mon smoker with no craving or symptoms :o but I'm just trying see it as it my body recovering from me putting poison on it for 16 years.. And it's gonba take a lot longer than a few months

maccy D's always makes me feel like a smoke even now not a strong urge like i will do it but it always pops in my head especially after a cheese burger more so

maybe the clown isnt as sweet and innocent as he comes across or maybe we have strong triggers with macdonalds depending on our frame of mind

When I first read the the title of this thread, I thought you were talking about 50 Shades of Grey! :D

Seriously though, it may be hard because you haven't yet quite closed the door on your smoking self. Stopping means giving up forever if you want to be successful, which also means being convinced that you never want to smoke again. So long as you leave yourself an out, there will be times of struggle. Easier said than done, you need to close that open door, and tell yourself that done is done... You no longer smoke.

Alex.

lol I just can't help myself. PLL, I come back to find that you today, like ever since you have been on here, you say that this is the worst day you have had and you just can't go on .. look at you!! you have gone 4 months without a cigarette .. how fantastic is that!!!!

Alex is right .. you just need to tweek your life a bit to stop using the lack of smoking as an excuse for how you feel and start moving in a slightly different direction. You are amazing x
