Good morning everyone. I woke up this morning coughing and sneezing, watery eyes. Felt like I used to when I would have that first smoke of the day.

I am so sorry, please forgive my manners. My name is Pat...I am a nicotine addict. I have quit as of Dec 31st, 2011 at 9:30 pm.

I guess in away that hacking attack was good. Reminded me of one of the reasons I quit. I hated waking up like that. So, now, I am ready for whatever the smoking demon throws at me and I will just continue to fight each and every day....ppat

Day 15 and loving it!

Could be a stopping thing. I've had a sore throat for a week (also week 3). There's all kinds of strange things going on - mostly gastrointestinal :p.

Anyway, congrats on getting this far!

I think it is a smoking thing. I didn't cough after I stopped, which kind of worried me. In a way this is a relief, I want to get that stuff out of my lungs and start healing! Cough away!!! ppat

Everyone counts how many cigarettes they have been without. I am afraid to do that. 60 smokes a day times 15 days...that equals 900 cigarettes I have not smoked. WOW! Very scary....ppat

Holy Smokes (pardon the pun), 60 a day, that must have cost you a fortune, i am also on week 3 as of today and feeling so much better, the craving has virtually dissapeared now and i am thinking about smoking less and less,

I don't work so I have all the time in the world and yes they were very expensive habit to mantain. I am so glad I have stopped those nasty things.

My grand daughter is 5, just getting to the age of awareness. Any way, I talked to her last night and told her I quit and she said Yea, good for you grandma. Then she looked at her auntie and told her to quit....so special.

It's moments like that that make this all worth while. I will never smoke again.I want to see my grandkids grow up.....ppat
