Oh dear. I know the feeling well, and totally sympathise.
Do one or more or all of the following
1) Go for a walk - it's a lovely day and you'll feel better once you get moving.
2) Take deep breaths. Really deep ones, and blow out hard. There - could you have done that before?
3) Get yourself a treat, even if it's just a foamy cappucino or something.
4) Don't listen to the demons. You don't want the tobacco - IT wants YOU.
5) Read, read, read. Maybe even look up some of the nastier stuff that smoking does to you. You'll soon stop thinking the rollie is quite so lovely.
6) Above all, remember. Focus on getting through just today. You can do one day, after all you've already done eighteen of them! And this too shall pass.
Sorry you're feeling so down today, maybe try setting yourself a couple of small goals for the day to give yourself something to do. Doesn't have to be chores, can be something fun Like getting lost in a book.
Lizzie you can get through today, and you get through it the same way you have gotten through every other day. Today you are not going to smoke.
Look back through your postings, you have had days like this already and you got through them, use that strength and common sense that you have and ignore ole nic and push on with what you want, and that is to not smoke.
I have that empty feeling. (maybe its just my life?!!)
Hungry?
Angry?
Lonely?
Tired?
Come on, Lizzie. You have nearly done that first three weeks. You have quickly become one of our "Mrs Sensible's" giving such good advice to everyone else. Time to look after yourself for a while!
Hope this passes soon, and as painlessly as possible. But I know you won't smoke.
oh no, please stay strong... it's just the memory of having some habit, which might play a visit now and then. i guess if you survive through this empty feeling a few times, it shall cease hence thither away forever
Also,I think Mrs T makes a good point perhaps even if the listed reasons are not the ones, you can substitute instead..?
Come on it's ok. I had a bad day on Day 20 so think you may have got it a day early??
I have that empty feeling. (maybe its just my life?!!)
Noooo it's not your life, the empty feeling comes because we have been so strongly addicted to nicotine and now we don't know what is happening to us:eek: I have had about 3 bad days in a row now but I am still standing, although goodness knows how. But something is stopping me from smoking and it sure aint the Champix. (sorry pfizer lol) it is this forum that is doing it for me, and it will for you too So listen to Aunty Mrs T cos she knows what she is talking about. Don't be Mrs Sensible and take time for.... drum roll.... YOU!!
Cos it's YOU that matters so stay strong cos you CAN
Well I'm sorry but I think you brought the nico demon on yourself...... lol
Your week 3 post have been titled as follows;
I quote.. Day 15 - Ok....
Day 16 - All quiet....
Day 17 - Another quiet day....
Day 18 - Not bad....
And then WHAM !! Day 19 - oh my god !..... lol
You see the NicoDemon must obviously be a secret member on the forum, he looks what people are posting and plans his attack.... I think he normally goes for those who are struggling, but if he's in your area and he thinks your having it a bit too easy ..... he duely obliges and pays you a visit....
So there....that's my theory anyway !
Well done for staying strong for 19 Days, your doing great !
