Well, I would have had a cigarette by now (as I've been up at least 10 minutes!!)

10 hours no nicotine! It's difficult to know how I feel now as I'm still half asleep and potentially late for work.

I read Alan Carr last night which was helpful...never doubt your decision, very good to remember that.

Well done for not giving in first thing, I found once I had not had the first one of the day I could manage without the others - just kept telling myself I survived missing the first one so didn't need the others. Just keep telling yourself you can do this

well done Elizabeth - first hurdle over - there will be many more but take each one at a time.

Just don't have a cigarette - take it slowly, don't think foerver (that will come) just concentrate on today.

Thank you everybody. I don't think I could do this without you.

Its gone 3 o'clock..thats 17 hours with no nicotine!

I can see the smoking "shed" from where I sit at work. I've been watching them, no envy (yet) . It takes 5 minutes or less to smoke a fag, thats all.

And as soon as you put it out you could have another and another. Its never satisfying.

I have to admit though they are lovely people out there and I'm going to miss them!

Well done Elizabeth - sounds like a great start. Hopefully, you will act as an inspiration to some of those lovely people, and they will start to see (and smell:eek that smoking shed for what it is.
