I know we are all doing the single best thing for our lovely lungs but does anyone know of any other stuff we can do to speed up the repair?
I know there will be no miracle fix but can anyone suggest vitamins, teas, herbal stuff that aid lung repair?
I drink LOADS of water now and I switched from black tea to green tea to help me in my association with a brew and a fag. I have since changed to white tea as I believe it is lower in caffeine and packed with antioxidants that should help. I also take a multi-vitamin and do some form of cardio 4 or 5 times a week.
I am just very impatient and desperate to do all I can to fix the damage I have done to my body!!

They say vitamin C is good, helps build up the anti-oxidants to combat the extra free radicals caused by smoking.
Fruit and veg are best, but an extra vit C supplement would also work. As far as I can remember, you can't overdose on Vit C, but check if you aren't sure.
My adive would be try and get into some form of fitness, jogging, cycling, swimming etc. Any form of cardio will be good for your lungs and speed up the healing process as well as improving oxygen levels in your body.
This will also help to give you more energy and help take your mind off smoking.
