My first post! I'm on day 5 and boy... Do I feel rough... I can't wait to overcome this early phase and start feeling healthy again. I have been smoking for about 13 years, twenty a day (even 2 packs sometimes when I was wasted ). So far, my cravings haven't been all that bad. I have quit before based on the will power method and I ended up giving in to the nicotine monster once after almost a year. This time however, I'm feeling a little more confident after reading Allen Carr's 'Easy way'. I'd recommend it to those who suffer from bad cravings and need a bit of assistance that doesn't involve other forms of nicotine. Happy quitting everyone! :)

Cheers all! :)

Thanks Carol, John and Angela. It is very true that all the wonderful people on this forum are great help! And yes again. I guess saying that we embrace the cravings will be a little "too over the top!" :D:D:D I'm on Day 7 today and am already feeling so much better. It's quite amazing how much tar I'm getting out of lungs!

Though I am feeling rough, I noticed that I am certainly becoming more energetic and healthier. When I went clubbing the other day, I wasn't short of breath throughout a punkband's set. Didn't suffer from cravings either. I was being suffocated when my mates smoked and it actually got rid of the cravings. Good stuff!
