Hiya,

Well done to you. Keep strong. Are you going cold turkey or using NRT?

Well good for you as I said. Remember the first 3 days are the worst so you are already two thirds of the way through :D My first day tomorrow so won't be far behind you. I am going to be using patches & lozenges. You just make sure you stay ahead of me ;)

Levs1000 Days Smoke Free

Just remember, a craving will go whether you smoke or not. If you smoke to get rid of your cravin you will get another an hour later, and every hour for the rest of your smoking life. If you don't smoke, the next craving will be a bit further away, and the next will ber even further with less intensity. Within a few months you will barely having any at all.

Can't remember who said it but I liked this quote

"I would rather have an occasional craving as a non smoker, than a constant longing to quit smoking as a smoker"

It was someone on here but can't remember who and I think it just speaks volumes.

Stay stong

That couldn't be a more perfect way to put it! It's not only the constant longing to quit smoking as a smoker, but also the need to permanantly plan your life around the next ciggie.

It feels so good to be stuck in a meeting or something for a couple of hours and not be thinking, oh god, hurry up and finish so i can go have a smoke. (usually have those thoughts and my daughters christmas play too - not this year tho)!!!

Keep it up lovely people. We should all be well on our way by New Year which means we don't have to worry about it then!!
