Day 9

Here I am halfway through day 9 - I've spent a lot of time on the forum today, reading posts from all milestones, and I feel positive.

I've set alarms on my mobile to go off when each lozenge is due - they are at 1Hr 50 min intervals from when I wake up to the last one of the day. each lozenge lasts about 50 mins, so from one finishing, I know I only have an hour till the next one - about the same time between cigarettes in my old life.

I haven't craved - I do feel like something is missing, or that I've forgotten something - it's quite strange, but very pleasing knowing I am quitting the filthy habit.

It's reassuring to know that despite reading this forum, and therefore thinking about cigarettes all day, I haven't had the desire to actually have one.

I hope that self-assured feeling can stay with me through week 3 which I gather is a bit of a test!!

I've made some friends already, and joined a group - WE CAN DO THIS!!

Well done Ant!! You're doing great!!

I certainly have that 'something missing' feeling, but that's no problem to deal with. I'm nearly 4 weeks in and actually rarely think about cigarettes now.

We *CAN* all do this!!

Stay strong.
