Its kinda not fair for things to get harder the farther you get along or is it?

LOL...

CRAVES today like none before.

But coming here always calms me down somewhat.

Read through the "reasons" forum, that helped a lot!

Maybe now I can actually do something and be productive instead of stressing about not smoking ;)

Levs1000 Days Smoke Free

Sorry you are having a hard day today. We all have them. Only thing you can do is take it one minute, one hour, one day at a time.

Go have a bath, glass of wine, whatever you would normally do to relax. Tomorrow will be better, just get through today. You will really regret it if you smoke now!!

Stay Strong

I'm 4 days behind you and i've had some hellish cravings today, like real full on "i need a fag" cravings, which i haven't had for a while. weird isn't it.. you go days being able to ignore them and then they just creep up on you and do your head in.

It's taken all my might to ignore them today, just keep strong hun, soon we'll have days where we won't have any cravings. Have a read of this, it gives me some hope, hopefully it will for you too.

Yet, amazingly, within just 2 to 4 months the adjustment process transports most in recovery to a point where they experience that very first day where they never once "think" to themselves, "gee, I'd sure like a smoke," "a dip," "a chew," "a lozenge," "a piece of nicotine gum." After the first such day they become more and more common. Soon, they become your new norm in life with the distance between the occasional "thought" growing further and further apart.

Imagine entire days, weeks, months and possibly even years, where your mind never once "wants" for a nicotine fix. Imagine living in a constant state of 100% total comfort with no smoking related anxieties whatsoever - none, zero, nil, complete and total tranquility. It's where hundreds of millions of comfortable comfortably recovered ex-smokers and ex-oral nicotine addicts reside today. Were any of them truly stronger than nicotine? Were any of them stronger than you or was that just another lame excuse?
