My umpteenth attempt to stop smoking begins at 2pm tomorrow.
I'm going to give (yes give, my last 5 packets of baccy away later on so the house is then temptation free.)
I attended the smoking cessation group this Morning and whilst I was there I met a chap who had previously stopped smoking and had re-started. When we were chatting he told me that the biggest strength he had when he last stopped was from attending a support group. Unfortunately those support groups no longer exist.
I got to thinking though that there must be support groups on the tinternet, so here I am.
I don't know your faces, nor even your real names but I look forward to getting the support I need here, and in time hopefully I can reciprocate

Thanks Rachel
I've got some patches and some nicorette microtabs.
Tobacco now all given away and relying on what little I have left. My emotions are mixed both fear and the excitement in hopefully achieving my goal to quit.
One things for certain I'm going to be on here a lot tomorrow
Welcome to the forums don't worry nor try to dwell from previous quits. Try to take experiences from then to make this quit even stronger. Most of us have tried more than once.
As the others have said read the posts and experiences on this forum and links in peoples signatures. Educating about nicotine addiction, sharing you experience and supporting others will all help to reinforce your quit.
