Holiday on Monday. Two weeks off work. Two weeks sitting on a sunbed (if the kids club is good enough for my two horrors). My first holiday in god knows how long as a non smoker. Quite scary, but the good thing is I haven't had to save all year to blow £300 quid on Duty Free's. I blew it all on clothes instead, so will probably have a hefty excess baggage fine :rolleyes:

I used to love smoking in the sun, but hopefully five and a bit months down the line should be enough time not to crave. It had bloody better be anyway!

You will do just fine im sure. At least one good thing you wont be pegging on that plane journey and you will be in that pool or the sea without wanting to get out for a drag..eating a meal without rushing it becoz you want one.......How good will your holiday be. You sound great about it anyhows. just adding a few more reminders

I am sure you will be fine on your holiday. I used to get all stressed as the plane landed wanting to get to a smoking area ASAP. Would have barged everyone out of the way if I could :eek: I know that smoking, sun, relaxing, drinking all seemed to go hand in hand. But all those triggers don't make those fags any less dangerous to you. You will be able to chill even more not looking for a place to smoke & wishing your meal away etc to get out for a fag.

Does that make sense? Know what I am trying to say but my brain is a bit durgh today.

you both just confirmed what i was thinking. I know i can do it. It's just nice to hear someone else say it. When I was a smoker i used to put a patch on the second I finished my cig outside Gatwick, and then rip it off as soon as i got outside at the destination airport. Makes me think how sad I was!!

No need for that anymore, and I'm sure the cocktails will taste even better without the dirty ashtray tinge.......

I am hoping i can feel smug and not jealous this time when i see all the twitchers. I should be able to by now, have just worked out I am 165 days in. Blimey!

You have no worries about me keeping away from the nudie beach Chrissie, I've put on a stone since stopping smoking, it will be bad enough in a bikini let alone naked!!!

I will post again in a couple of weeks and let you know how well i did. I hope!
