Didn't smoke yesterday, and havent done so far today. The commute to work is a major issue for me, as I always have a fag when I get off the bus but avoided buying any baccy today. I also avoided pinching a smoke from someone at work on my break!

Patches are working a treat!

Good for you MD,

Well, the commute is no longer a major issue for you as you have proved to yourself today you can do it without having a fag or 4! One massive tick to you & tomorrow won't be so scary ;)

Have a great smoke free day 2 & onwards to day 3 :D

Cheers guys!

Just had a work mate offering me a cig :p (I think he's gutted he's lost a smoking partner). Refused.

Still got this cough and my larynx feels odd. Feels like theres always something at the back of my throat. Going through bouts of woozyness to boot!

Well done Dan. As Gaynor mentioned the commute will be easier now you have done it once without smoking, that is pretty much the same for all things everytime you do something without smoking it will be easier the next time.

Read loads, post often and be very proud of your non smoking status.

Hi MD

Well done on your second day - day 3 tomorrow - get you :D

funny throat, cough, dizzyness, general cold symptoms - all part and parcel of your quit I'm afraid but they do pass. Make sure you drink loads of water and juice to help flush you out and keep you hydrated - amazing how bad lack of fluids can make you feel. Multivitamins and minerals are a good idea too. Everytime you get over a hurdle the next one will feel just that little bit smaller :) stay strong you're doing great.
