Hello everyone my first day again,determined to stop. Leaving the drink alone for a couple of weeks, going cold turkey, what more can i say good luck to everybody with there quit.:eek:

Hi Deano, good to see you back and determined. I think laying off the booze for a while is a good idea, white wine was my downfall more than once. CT means that all that nasty nicotine will be out of your body after only 3 days so that's fab.

You know the drill, read loads, post often and stay strong.

Hi Dean, so pleased you have found the road back to quitting, its not easy and no one will say it is but you now know one of the worst triggers is the drink and a lot of us have had to pass on it for a while to give ourselves time to get control, may it not take you too long before you can enjoy a pint without the cigs, dont forget the water it really does work x

Hey Deano,

Huge respect to you for trying again so soon after losing your dad. The reason I say this is that I had been quit before but started again after losing mine and for 4 years I told myself it was OK to smoke coz I had lost my dad and no-one would blame me for smoking, well that was wrong!

Since quitting this time my head is so focused and I see things much more clearly, therefore am more able to deal with my grief without the interruption of an addiction. I hope you will see what I mean, maybe not now but further down the line you will feel free!
