Hi daniel

Just posted you over in your 5 days

whatever you feel inside to do....if you are angry enough to rip the 9 fags up & start now ...then do it .....If you feel you cant then dont..coz u will resent your quit & probably me too for telling you ;)

Got a feeling you want to smoke your last 9 fags ,..try not to enjoy them...think & remember how bad they taste & how bad you feel. ...write your reasons down for quitting or type them in ure PC

Just remember you havent failed ...it takes a much stronger person to admit defeat ..ok...Your doing good ..& thats because your still going to try ...& when you get their ...you will look back & laugh ...i promise ..i have tried & failed a lot .....:)

It is really hard Daniel, you did so well getting to 4 days but you just succumed to the cries of nicodemon. I would say you have to really, really want to do it, but that is not always true, I didnt particularly want to quit I had a health reason, in fact I was backing out the night before my quit date but my partner said he was giving it a go, so I went along with it, I am now truly determined to remain smoke free, it is blinkin hard, some days are good and some are hell, but it is a small price to pay for freedom, your health and wealth will improve significantly and your life will be better, guaranteed!

Maybe you might benefit from a form of NRT to help get you through, then when you have weaned yourself from the addiction, you can concentrate on the psychological aspects of smoking, like breaking the associations.

If it's cold turkey the way you want to go, then take a deep breath (or lots of em) and prepare for a rollercoaster ride of emotions, you will have days of despair but as time goes on more and more good days. From experience I think it should be called headless turkey, not cold turkey.

This forum is great and you will get lots of help and advice but only you can stop yourself putting them fags into your mouth. I hope you do it and good luck xx
