Finding week 2 a hard
Hi
I remember week 2 :(. It was one of the hardest times I had in my quit and one of the biggest constant reminders that having got through that time, I don't plan on doing it again.
Look up the links in signatures, particularly the one that mentions the terrible three's. I found the tough hardest times related to 2's more than 3's but square your shoulders, gather up your determination and just keep pushing on through the odd brick wall. You can do this, it's your quit, own it
All the best to you
Hey Susan, hang in there! day 10 for me,had a difficult day yesterday but got through it by reading loads on here, another thing that keeps me going is thinking about having to do the first week again if i caved in.you dont really want to have to start all over again and you dont really want to go back to 4 grand a year either do you? your doing great keep it up!
Thanks it helps a lot to talk through it.
Your right of course if I cave in I'll just have to go through it all again, three deep breaths and a piece of minty chewing gum and I'll be fine, after I have my cadburys cream egg of course lol.
Be strong hun, dont give up or its 10days wasted and you'll be really disapointed with yourself. God im only on day 3 and think its hard, I was expecting it to be a doddle after the first week is behind me. Little do I know. Keep going you can do it

Yep, your right we all can, one hour, one day, at a time.
Scored 83% on the quiz above.

Hi Susan, if you think of it as this little demon have an absolute hissy fit now because he's not being fed, he's still got some strength in him so he can stamp and punch (I always think of the Taz the Tazmanian Devil), but he is getting weaker, and he's scared.
All those chemicals etc. are clear, or almost clear of your system now, so now it's more a mental challenge. Keep positive and strong, reinforce yourself mentally by reading up on the addiction. You've come such a long way, you should be really chuffed with yourself.
Now enjoy that egg,
Lorraine
hang in there, right now it all seems like a ton of mind games and the cravings will be still quite regular. It is a bit of an endurance test and i'm sure you'll do just fine, just keep posting on here if you need to, you'll be amazed just how many folk know exactly what you are going through.
Check out my signature on my post here for the links that were mentioned, there's a ton of good info on the web that helps while you quit smoking, and a bit of education on what you are quitting won't harm you at all.
You guys are great I feel loads better already.
Feeling much more positive, it's amazing you feellike there are loads of folks out there who really care what your going through.
Thank goodness for this forum.
DAY 11 TOMORROW!!

As everyone says keep going. Week 3 has been my toughest so far and it feels sooo good coming out of the end of that. Not saying there won't be more tough times, just I know I can cope now and it feels greeeeat!

Absolutely agree with you there Pol - week 2, day 2, multiples of 2 etc. all a struggle for me! Forget terrible 3's. I was in a really black mood on week 2
Stick with it Susan - I am feeling great now I'm in week 3. You will get there too
Thanks Vesper, have joined the March to Freedom 2010 group, hopefully we'll all keep each other going.
