Oldie bk trying again

Well i'm back AGAIN!!..day 1..gone ok so far.

I'm really hoping this is my final quit.

Hubby has decided to quit alongside with me, he's doing cold turkey and i'm on patches and inhalator.

Not used the inhalator much today compared to last time, but i know i will be when week 2 comes along.

Well done Nikki for giving it another try, and with hubby doing it too it will make the world of difference, I promise you.

My husband quit this time with me and it is so, so much easier. You at least will understand what each other is going through and be able to talk about it. Good for the two of you.

Remember to take it day by day, each quit is different so don't compare it too much to your last one. Mine is completely different to last time, perhaps cos the OH has quit as well, who knows.

im also on about my 50th quit attempt, using patches too. i wish u all the best of luck! my partener thankfully will not smoke around me, but he does it on the sly and i dont appreciate getting a whiff of it! you are lucky your husbands are trying too.

My last cigarette was at about midnight last night, so not even through the first 24 yet. Today has been quite easy, no ridiculous cravings, just the occasional niggling little thought when i know its the time i would normally smoke!

Yes the 50th quit thing sounds famailiar! well not quite as many as you but far too many i'd like to admit to.

But 1 has to be our final quit time!!

Good luck to you also. Can relate to the whiff of ciggie smell as hubby used to go outside n have a ciggie then come back in and yup, he stunk LOL.

Hi Nikki and welcome back.

It should make it sooo much easier having the OH giving up as well, hopefully you can support each other through the tough times and celebrate together when you reach the goals.

You know what you have to do, read the links, post often, stay strong, take one day at a time.
