well Im now on day 8 on champix and have just taken my 2nd of my two blue pills..Felt a bit weird and rough for a few minutes this morning but all ok in the end..Have found Im smoking less and less now ready for my quit day on 15th. I have my second new leaf one to one tomorrow and really looking forward to it.. While Im at work i am finding I can go 4 or 5 hours without having a smoke which is great for me and also Im not forever thinking about going for one... If Derek Achorah can do it..so can I

Hi Bongo
You're doing fine and already noticing the difference in the amount you smoke that's great
I think by the sounds of it you may be readt to stop before the 15th but you'll know if you are and if so don't force yourself to smoke OK
I did that and it made me feel really ill the last couple of days till my quit date
Don't dread the 15th I promise the thought of stopping completely is far worse than the doing
Hope everything goes well at you new leaf meeting today please let us know how it goes
I smoked for over 50 years so have no fear If I can do it so can you
Well done so far - like you i had taken Champix and had originally set yesterday as my quit date, but gave up two days earlier due to the fact i had completely gone off the taste of cigarettes!
As for the wierd feeling, you've probably read it already but make sure you eat lots just before you take the tablets, it seems to help with the "sicky" feeling!!
another tip with the champix is to sandwich it between food, ie eat half your food then take the pill then eat the other half of your food. That way it neither sits at the top or bottom of your tummy but in the middle. Also dont take late at night, try to take before 8pm this will help you to relax and sleep better
