:) Day 7 - wow - go me!! So pleased and proud to get to this day. Feeling fine but will feel happier when the thoughts of having a fag get less.

I may have given up the fags but have gained things so much more important - can now breathe again, can walk up a flight of stairs without stopping for breath half way - smell fresh and clean instead of like an old ash tray - have discovered a passion for lollys - and most importantly;- have the proudest daughter in the world! :D

Anyone else at day 7 today? Hope everyone is getting on well.

Well done your first whole week done and dusted, now you are talking in weeks. You will think about them for a little while as they were in your life all day for many years, but it will lessen.

Keep going

Well done Vivienne, don't stop now, remember how long a week seemed without a fag in the past. And you've done it, I hope you have a big treat lined up.

One week. Awesome. You should be very proud and pleased. What you have done must have seemed impossible 8 days ago. Well here you are. Way to go.

Hi, Well done Vivienne. Now counting in weeks rather than days (soon be in months). First week is hardest as it all seems so unusual. Gradually, you'll get used to not smoking and it becomes the 'norm'. Just watch out for those sneaky little cravings which pop up from nowhere.

Don't worry about eating for England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales at the moment, Sort out the cigarettes and deal with the wieght later

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathising with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here

are 2 I found very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com

Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

This link is good for the psychological part of quitting whyquit.com/whyquit/A_Sympt...

Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here OK
