You know you've had this coming.... you are way due for some serious acknowledgment! Not only have you been most witty, clever, and kind, but you've also provided most excellent support to many folk trying to quit. Many oldies still lurk around I'm sure but you've actually been here and spent your time supporting. You've got a great big heart, you da best.
So....... CONGRATULATIONS on 22 months! What a great achievement. To you my friend, my partner in crime, my bestest sarcy buddy a big huge WELL DONE

Oh what a surprise....nothing rehearsed....no speeches that would fit here
22 months is awesome for me; a lot of folk say they didn't think they'd managed to stop...ever....that was me too. I wont kid you, it was hard at first, it got easier and I now know I'm a non smoker and will be for the rest of my days. There have been a couple of glitches, just 3 times, silly but I self destruct on occasion
Thanks all of you for your good wishes...
Stuart, solid advice, clearly stated and appreciated by so many quitters.
Marg, carrying on the family tradition and welcoming EVERYONE.
David, the laughs we've had...the laughs we have yet to have...thanks buddy.
Bella lass, last but really always first....you some gal

I know for a fact you were writing a speech yesterday, so do not give me that false modesty stuff.
22 months, this is amazing, but more amazing is the fact that you hang around here to give us all your help and support. You have been vital to my quit and on occasion my mental health!
Congratulations to you Cav, 2 months is awesome. It is so good to see people, like yourself, further along the road but still supporting so many. So, congratulations - and thanks too.
Thanks Pol, cheers for sharing the music....it would be real good if I could play the tunes here at work too. Fekin' work...curse of the social class.
Jase, thanks also. You, in similar vein as Stuart, are a great supporter; always thoughtful reading...cheers.
Christine42, it's just a number, and you'll get that number too. I remember your early quit and the attitude you had was admirable....still is. Thankyou.

Bev, that fekin' thing is growing arms and legs and taking up all of today too. Who'd of thought 5 mins could be so complicated Thanks for all your humour and just being you. It's a real delight to be a friend of yours.
Deke, if you ever put together an idiots guide on how to solve Name the Film/Tune posers I'm sure I could use that to good effect. Thanks for the 'grats.
Jackie, thanks for your kind comment. Always a pleasure to see other Scots on site. Inverness is a great jumping off point for me when I'm cycle touring. Beautiful country, grand folk
Christine, surprised to see your post but nonetheless received in good faith as your intent would have been.
Cheers Manny, 22 months...phew, who'd a thought. Laughing's the name of the game, that and a good dose of not taking oneself too seriously. This place provides both in equal amounts.
Jackie, this year I've toured each month since February...until I got to October. They all where great but 7 days in Sutherland mainly on the west side... and, Inverness down to Glasgow....both outstanding tours. Scotland has amazing countryside and cycling lets you taste it at the right pace.
Well done Cav, almost two years (and there isn't even a special folder or anything)
Woohoo, look at you, Jude!! Wish I could teach you better skills though But then, I'm always there (or thereabouts) if you need a chat or rant about that
Hey you mothering old trout, how pleased I am to be posting on your thread!22 months is brilliant. Thanks for all your laughs and support and da peace you bring to this place! It would certainly be a dull place without you x

Get with the programme, Fi. I don't dispense da peace no more...moved onto dishing Purplz* even though I'm not a gamer...and never have been. Tis a great pleasure to see all you young 'uns coming along just fine and dandy in your quits. At somepoint we will all be like one of my colleagues who has a 17year quit, how cool is that
*although purple's getting sooo yesterday and a change is on the horizon. Not a revert though, M3!!
