Jimbo...

Although i never quit the champix method way.. and although i may not have the most solid answer for you here, i will say this:

"Stop waiting for it to happen, go about your life.. and allow it to happen of its own accord". I'm sure you'll notice soon enough, but the anticipation is probably giving you all kinds of wrong expectations right now.

Another thing to consider? Change your brand of smoke tomorrow. Don't get your regular.. get the cheapest crappy ones.. and see if this helps?

The more you break the bonds,.. the more the champix will do its stuff i'm sure.

Give it time, give yourself hope.

Hey Jimbo,

sorry you are feeling badly..... I don't know much about Champix except its a quit aid and has helped many. I think the point of the Champix is to reduce the cravings.... So you'd maybe have to stop first to see how it works for you?! Sadly for most of us, there's no magic for quitting if that's what you are waiting on..... quitting smoking is a process and you do it by setting a date and then not smoking from that date on.... however hard (or easy) it is.... and I think the Champix will make it easier if you just give it a shot.

Keep reading and try to figure out why you are not ready. Don't be too hard on yourself.... you'll get there! Good luck okay!

Hi

I quit on Champix but was very disillusioned for the first 13/14 days or so as I thought nothing was happening. But you've got to make a decision and stop yourself, and Champix will help. I think I was sort of waiting for Champix to prevent me putting a cigarette in my mouth and lighting up. That bit was down to me. After I'd decided to stop, the craving to have another were (and are) significantly reduced.

Hi Jimbo :D

As the others have daid give it a chance it will kick in very soon and beleive me when it does it works very quickly

I used it as well and found it a huge help

We're all different and ot takes longer to kick in for some than for others OK don't panic it will happen

Champix is not a miracle cure at all but it does and will cut out most of the craves I think I only had one massive crave and a few minor niggles and know how lucky I was

Keep going keep busy and most of all don't just sit and wait for it to happen

Love

Marg
