For anyone just starting out on their "quit", I'd like to say that it's well worth doing and if you stay strong it will happen. Today I have been quit for 6 months, with the encouregement of this forum.

If I can do it, so can you. GOOD LUCK!!

Stay strong. You will do it.

Id second that, and i'd also say the old cliche "If I can do it so can you"!

I absolutely loved smoking, straight from awakening to literally before I slept, and honestly thought i'd be smoking all my life, and although its only 3 weeks for me, I personally have found it supprisingly easier than I thought it would be, with a bit of help from here, my electronic ciggie and self determination!

So, as they say, and its true, if a hardcore smoker like me can do it, so can you!! (If you really want to).

totay marks the final day of my first 6 weeks since quitting smoking. I will never go back to smoking, i knew that before i quit, but so far, the benefits both to my health and my pocket have been immense. Not only that, the positive comments you get off folk for going the distance truly do put you on a bit of a high in itself, and you start to notice the positive effects from quitting smoking actually not so long after you start.

There is never a wrong time to quit smoking, in fact you come to realise you can cope with pretty much all of lifes usual stresses without reaching for a smoke.. and the benefits are amazing.

I look forward to being at that 6 months+ stage again, and i certainly encourage everyone whether you've already quit smoking, or just about to, to make this an extra special effort to be quit for good.

/peace all.

Sounds good to me, tomorrow you'll be over half a year smokefree. Whatever you're doing, keep on doing it because it's working, another from the famous February crop, doing well. David

Hiya Amanda. Welcome to the forum. Log on, go to whichever section that's appropriate 1/2/3 days etc look for the new thread button and off you go. Have a look under peoples signatures for links to useful information. Good luck. David

well done on 6 months... fantastic!

I'm new and am so happy I stumbled apon this website... maybe its a sign?

What would be nice to hear, and I will be reading a lot on here, are the positives that you gain when quitting... I hope it is nice out there.
