Its worthwhile having a browse through the links in my signature, to gain some inspiration and information about nicotine addiction and what to expect while quitting. If you look on quitting as a positive thing rather than a sacrifice it is easier.
The physical withdrawal is only a small part of it, breaking the association with smoking is what takes the time, but if you have the right mindset then it all kind of falls into place.

Day 8 for me today also. Pat on the back for both of us. Two days ago I forgot to put my patch on until after midday, so decided not to bother. Didn't know whether this was foolish after being fag-free for a few days. Anyhow, had a few craves throughout the day and chewed a bit of NRT gum instead. In total I used 5 pieces, the same yesterday. So far today I've not had a crave and so haven't had any gum. I've turned into a very windy person though!!!! x
Do you know, it's so bad that he's not taking me to the movies and for a meal tonight whilst we don't have the kids for a few days?!! He said my aroma was sweeter when I smoked  Anyhow, I'm off to get some clothes for my hols. xxx
