Hi Folks, i think that was the worst day for us so far, i seriously could have smoked today on 2 ocassions, me and Mandy both stopped together 3 weeks ago tomorrow, we have been fine up until today, i know why !!!
We have used nothing but an inhalator each that we scrounged from a friend a good while back and over the weekend we ran out of refills so tried to manage without, its only now i KNOW ! im not ready to go completely without !!
After returning from the supermarket really stressed we tried to source some refills but it was too late, then, i checked my work bag and there were 6 in there .... everything is now fine and back on track
Not gonna give in to the demons ... we still need the help but it just proves when your defences are down the little buggers come and get ya
3 weeks tomorrow ... bring it on
Still a non smoker and well proud

Has Gaz, know what u mean by feeling caught out, same with me today, just had a rant on Mavericks thread, so wont go there again, first time I felt so low and know am defro not ready to come off patches. But well done for not giving in. Just when I was getting confident, then get a day like today, but guess would get them days as a smoker ha ha Keep strong Your doing fab
Yes Karen i think that confidence was trying to battle through today or was it complacency ? .... not too sure, but either way we got it sorted and didnt buckle just like yourself, nasty as it sounds its good to know others are having a hard time some days too, its gives you and others strength, well done yourself on todays battle Karen
Hi gaz and mand, first well done on your quits so far, 3 weeks is fantastic and a big pat on the back to you both, you having a bad day today but each bady day will be replaced with a row of good days after, and we all would probably have these days even if we were smoking, but when your in the middle of a crap day and struggling with craves we dont so easily think like that. But you have both got through today now, and tomorrow things will be better, keep strong and be proud of your quits so far! x

Hi kaz, ive just read your posts on mavericks thread and i have replied to you on there, take care, x
We've all had the bad days (I had one hell of a nightmare one the other day) so know exactly how it feels, that fact that you both got through it shows how strong you are, if you don't feel ready to stop the inhalator yet then don't, only you will know when your ready
Glad everythings calmer now and keep up the good work, your doing great!

hi tracy ..i hope you don't mind me asking ...it says you prevoiusly used champix to stop smoking ,,,,,did it work for you ?....
Hi Liz, i have previously used champix, although every one will find the use of anything differant my experience with champix was whilst i was first on it, i did have nausua and felt sickly, but i didnt want to smoke and if i tried to smoke i felt worse. But i had to come off them due to a medical issue (nothing to do with the tablets) and once i came off them which was only 4 weeks later i suffered from feelings of very low mood and was tearfull and upset for about 4 days, I can say that i did at first think the tablets were to blame for my feelings at the time but now im not sure and think that stopping smokin can produce lots of emotions including feeling upset and tearfull and that maybe it was more to do with a failed attempt at quitting and that i had to accept i had failed.
Hope this helps, not sure if you are having any side effects or problems, but if you are worried post on here for more advice or see your gp if you are worried.
I do know that a lot of people have used and are using champix and that they have been fine, and as i say at the beginning everyone is differant, there is a lady on here (marg) a wonderfull lady whom knows a lot more about champix, maybe she could help more than me.
I am using champix my 14th day today (cant quite believe it)..anyway it made me feel nauseous at first but then i started taking it straight after food with no subsequent problems...The worst or possibly best side effect for me is extreme tiredness especially after my evening pill by 10pm I am in bed and snoring. I normally drink quite heavily but since starting champix half a can and I want to go to sleep..I am more than prepared to put up with that if it means getting rid of the cancer sticks....
