Hi Jamie
Try to avoid alcohol at this stage iin your quit. Its set me back smoking more times than i care to remember. Alcohol free is the way to be during this time....
Ha ha know what u mean about drinking, That is my worse trigger, so not doing much at the beginining, and its good to go cinema and other places instead..... Keep up the good work Jamie....
I think i'm quite lucky in the Beer part of the quit cos before I quit, I didn't smoke much when drinking. I used to have about 3 cigs... then I just didn't feel like smoking!! so it doesn't affect me now when I am drinking. THANK GOD, cos boy have I put some away since easter lol!!

Hi Jamie
Sorry you feel a bit rough on day 7
The hot face and headache are part of quitting OK lots of us have them to start with but they don't last long Promise
As for the wanting a ciggie this is not having a drink last night alright this quite simply is those sneaky little Nico  Demons trying to get you back in their power
You've been starving them for a week now and they're getting desperate
don't let them win, just hang in there I promise you it will start to get easier now that you have the first and worst week done and dusted
You did really well not to give in to temptation when you were drinking! Stick with the smoke free life-style but you need to be a bit patient! Don't expect to be feeling great just yet - you will do soon but you HAVE to stick it out!
hey jerry how comes you quit for 4 years then started again?
Because the nico-demon only ever sleeps - he doesn't die!
I fell out with my non-smoking boyfriend and started going out with a smoker and .....I fell for the oldest trick in the book - the odd ciggie won't hurt. I can just smoke the occasional one at the weekend I thought:rolleyes:
Anyway, I found out the hard way that smoking the 'odd one' eventually leads to smoking 15-20 a day again.
I shan't fall for that again - at least til I'm 90, then I might try smoking the odd one again!
