Hi to all.

Stopped smoking 21 March and still working at it.

Just found this forum and had to register, only been three weeks but this time things are a bit different, I'm gonna stay stopped.

Hi Pauly :)

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathiseing with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

Well done on your quit so far you're doing great and you sound really determined

Best Wishes

Marg xxxxxxxxx

Thanks for the replies, loads of advice and help.

This is the worst time for me, evenings, slipping out for a smoke.

Working at it though and stopped longer than ever before.

Welcome and well done. You have just got the head fights to deal with now and you have won the battle.

Yes, the head fights.

My head keeps telling me " go on one wont hurt"

but my heart knows it will.

I've read on here about sore throats and so on, now I have a sore throat.

I didn't realize how underhanded my head could be, lol.

I keep saying " sorry but I don't smoke"

I had a really good read about those receptors in the brain and how they work, fascinating stuff.

PS proud to announce my membership of MMQ
