Well i made it to day 2. Feel good for making it this far, but now beggining to feel it. Seem to be waking up at regular intervals an having only wat i can describe has hot sweats. Today my little monster in my head is working overtime! But i,m not going to cave in. I want my life back an that do,snt include a love affair with the dreaded weed. Good luck to anyone doing day 2 your not alone :)

That's great LBear!

I hope your demons subside soon, and you are able to enjoy your day.

xx

Hi LilBear :D

You are doing really well and on day 2 that little sod the nico demon is up to his tricks because you are not feeding him ignore him just let him starve just hang in there I promise it will get easier for you very soon

The sleep disturbance and sweating is fairly common with us quitters and is mainly because your blood and therefore your brain is getting more oxygen than it is used to but will adjust to this come on here as often as you need we are always here for you

All the Best

Yes, as said its perfectly normal. Use the forum as a way to get through the craves. The worst you can do is focus on how bad you feel and how a smoke would help. That makes the craves worse then you feel you can't survive without one! If you use distraction (again, this forum and its brilliant supportive members was and still is sometimes my lifesaver), then the crave goes away quite easily. Keep going. Read the links. You are doing brilliantly! xx

Im on day 2 as well and its been a bit more difficult than yeaterday but only habital rather than craving so im sure that will pass if i distract myself and remind myself how well im doing, i was advised to take 'baby steps' even a couple of hrs at a time and that is sound advise and i remember them words wheneva i feel i would normally have had a fag . good luck

I love the 'starve the demon' quote, il remember that one ; it's almost all habital for me today, day 2, iv not particulary craved but certain times i think 'oh il have a fag' then i think 'oops no i dont smoke nor do i want to'...this site is just fantastic and im glad i never waited til national no smoking day, what was the point when i do not want to be an addict no more..

Day 2

Well i,d just like to thank everyone for there support! An dee dee keep it up we all in this together and we will banish the nico demon! It is all habitual i do the same especially on gettin home from work as this is my toughest time but i got threw it again. As stated its not like your actually giving something up but more gaining something and that dos,nt include nico. It feels good to be feeling clean and not smelling of smoke and i actually do feel good in myself! :)
