Alfreck.... great job on 8 weeks!!! That is a great accomplishment.... the physical addiction is long gone for you and you have to be equipped for the mind battle.... I got hit really bad today.... wanted to smoke all day and I just went over 'my' reason to quit over and over.... then I made it home and have been on here I have been using a hypnosis cd as well and feel it helps a bit.... good luck!
Alfreck,
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you are struggling a bit at the moment. Well one of the hugest positive aspects is that you've managed 8 weeks and that is a fantastic achievement and one you should be justifiably pleased with.
Margaret has pointed you to some websites that could help you with the situation you are in at the moment. Basically in a quit your body is nicotine free 3 days after stopping taking nicotine products. The rest of the issue is now left to be dealt with and that's quite a big step but can be made a lot easier.
A number of us on this site advocate the Read, Read, Read method of educating yourself because if you know your 'enemy' then it becomes easier to tackle its attacks on you.
BellaBlue,
Well done on resisting those temptations. Each time you face these and successfully overcome them it helps to reinforce that new habit of living life without the crutch of nicotine.
Congrats to both of you,
Cav
hi alfreck,,stick with it,you have come to far to give in now @0 keep the faith tony keep
Thanks cav!!!!!!!
Hey there,
Calm.............................. Take a deep breath. and another.
Lots of people feel effects like this as part of withdrawal. Everyone will be leaving work etc now - as am I and so might not be able to post yet to help you. Use the time to read as many posts as you can, and the links you will find.
you will feel better later.
Hi again
It's unusual to not get any answers from the long termers who know much more than I do. Maybe you should post your own thread in the week 2 area. More people there who will see your post.
Anyway hope you have calmed down. I've been the same recently. It will pass and there's always herbal remedies you can try.
Take care
Carole

Margxxxxxx
