OK, I cheated a bit, in that I had a foul chest infection and very rarely smoke at home anyway so I breezed into week 2 without really having the opportunity to smoke, but I'm counting it all the same.
I'm using "willpower" alone, as son and heir doesn't know I smoke, and after all the years hiding it from him, I'm damned if I'm going to get caught with a bloody patch.
Having sailed through week one, I am really struggling now back at work after the extended break. Yesterday, I convinced myself I needed to go to the local newsagent to get gum. I didn't trust myself so I had to remove all money from my wallet except that which was needed to buy the gum. All of a sudden the need for gum dissipated. Sad.
"Need Fag now" constantly going through my head. Cravings may last only 5 minutes, but new ones seem to start within 10 seconds of the previous one ending. Home is the safe haven. Once I get on the bus after work I'm safe for another day. Posting this bring me 5 minutes closer.

1st off well done, the nicotine is out of your system and the cravings are psychological. If they were physical they would be as bad at home to.
So the thing you need to do is keep telling yourself that you don't smoke any more and stay strong.
You do not need a smoke, the only thing that smoking would do now would be to throw you back to square 1 and you would be so disapointed.
Nothing is ever improved by smoking.
Practice makes perfect and every day you practice living your life without smoking you will find it becomes more normal, and eventually smoking will be something you used to do. You have many years of learned behaviour to break and the only way to do that is re-learn!
Read the links in my signature, there is plenty of info about nicotine addiction, what to expect when quitting and motivational stuff albeit some is scary stuff to.
Welcome to the site. Please be strong it is only in your head now all nicotine is out of your body. you are all ready a non smoker and you can face your son with out the lie.xxxxx
back into your blood stream.... please don't do it.... I have been at 2 months quit before and trust me the voices will get less..... try to believe it... consider it like some strength of honor and integrity challenge.... As stupid as this may sound but I am watching stuff like LOTR, Achilles, etc.... and keep telling myself I can beat this thing... it has no brain....
