well its day 3 now and i can honestly say its getting harder for me. I cant sleep and do nothing but think about nipping to the shop for 10 b&h..
Im 29 and have been a smoker since the age of 10 so more or less all my life.
Ive just joined this site as all the help i can get is needed, so please egg me on!!
I have found the best way for me is to put £6 (the price of 20 b&h) into a pot everyday. Hopefully the wads of cash will help me through it. Well it means i can have 3 holidays this year if i stick to it at least..
Im using patches and to be honest they do take the edge off it until the dreaded bedtime. Then i just roll around thinking of sparking up..
Also they make my arm ache real bad.. Is this normal??
If there is anyone round the manchester area in the same predicament as me i would love to hear from you and claim you as my quitting partner.. It might just be a little easyer.
Ive also found when the cravings get really bad that my guitar is a good way to forget about it.. Trouble is my playings really bad too...
any advice at this oint is welcome..
I will succeed this time if it kills me.
Your not alone quitters lets beat greedy gordon brown and loose the brown fingers..
Big love to u all

I'm on day 2 now, however, I have quit for 6 weeks before. What I did was do anything to get my mind off the fags - listen to music, go 4 a walk, have a shower.
Just remember that if u smoke then u will be back to the old habit, and I'm sure u don't want to wake up most mornings coughing ur guts out do you?......I didn't think so.
Welcome and well done on getting to day 3 I'm also on day 3 and have to say today has been the worst for me so far You will find the support and encouragement you get from this site is enough to spur you on and keep you going.
Hang in there hun and we will all conquer quitting the smoking together
