I must be the only quitter who did it by mistake! Loving it though, I feel very lucky. The positive side effect of having pneumonia
Still need time for head to engage with body but working on it one day at a time.
Smoking is not the only subject in my head any more but I know I have a long way to go yet......Wonder when I will be so confident in my quit to sell the contents of the fag cupboard (4000 duty free in there). It's like a widow facing having to clear out husbands wardrob in my head. I hope that doesn't offend anyone and I'm not saying it's anywhere near as painful, but I'm still in a mourning period.....
Anyway, onwards and upwards it will be a cash bonus when it comes! Enjoying spending the work insurance cheque I got for being in the hospital. Embarrassed to say I got £150 a day from my work private medical scheme because I chose not to transfer to a private hospital.

Fek :eek: That's enough to take your mind off the imposition of being forced into quitting.
Good to read that you are feeling more comfortable with the notion of quitting and possibly you are recognising some of the positives of not smoking.
Thanks Cavelier - It's certainly helping with the Christmas shopping. I'm sure most normal peopel would have stuck with the NHS & taken the money. All you get extra is a private room with Sky TV & better food
To be honest I'd love to blow a lot of it on a massive bender - I'm hoping I may just be well enough in time for the last of the Christmas partys to do some of it.
PS- Thanks for looking out for me in the last forum. It's nice to know you are missed
Nice to see you hear in month 2 and well done for getting here (considering you got here by mistake, lol)
You sound so much more positive and I really hope that this is it for you, once you get your head agreeing with your body, should be plain sailing from there on! Enjoy your windfall, don't blame you for sticking with the NHS, well worth it by the sounds of it!
Well done - you really are doing great, and considering how your quit started - I am so very happy for you that you managed to turn it to your advantage. It really shows how important knowledge of the subject is!
