Well done to you - Just, please don't get complacent. It's great that you feel so positive, and please do enjoy that feeling... but be ready if you need to be :)

I think colds and minor illness while quitting are quite common.

Well done, 6 weeks is great.

I was speaking to a lady who quit about 5/6 years ago and she said that she had loads in the 1st year after she quit but they were less severe. Since then she has had fewer than when she smoked, and when she does they are defiantly much less severe.

Keep up the good work.

Nic

Well done you. I had a stinker of a cold about 10 days ago and that usually means a bout of sinusitus as well, which is worse than the actual cold to be honest. Well even though I did get a touch of sinus bother it wasn't anywhere near as bad at it usually would have been-I would pretty much guarantee that's because I'm not smoking and aggrevating the problem.

Just noticed you're in Spain, I think that it's even more of an acheivement quitting over there, considering that smoking seems to be a national sport in Espana.

Well done again:D

Well done Hope, and I hope your cold clears up soon.

The is my 1st winter without a chest infection, or at least a cold where I'd be coughing my lungs up by now :)
