A bit chilly and icy this morning in Edinburgh but a beautiful sunny morning nonetheless. These kind of mornings shouldn't be wasted. So without further ado I'm going to renounce my stupid bout of man flu, go to Tesco's for a breakfast of heart-attack and then a wee cycle along the c a nal to Falkirk.
Have a good day y'all

Cant believe it wouldn't let me write c**** !!!!!!
C a nals are artificial channels for water. There are two types of c****s: water conveyance c****s, which are used for the conveyance and delivery of water, and waterways, which are navigable transportation c****s used for passage of goods and people, often connected to existing lakes, rivers, or oceans.

Did you make it back ok?
Are you trying to type cαnαl? The site doesn't like anything with the the word αnαl in it.
Nor does it like the speciαlist because i contains the word ciαlis.
Give me a wave on the way past - I'll be at the c**** walking my 2 boxer dogs!
btw/ Edinburgh - Falkirk is hardly what I'd call "a wee cycle" - you getting the train back lol?
Actually, yeah I was planning on getting the train back but a friend had the same idea and called 'round for a cycle. Instead we came off at Linlithgow and went over the other side of the motorway, get into Hopetoun Estate and then down by the Forth, but keep high instead of South Queensferry and back into Edinburgh. Phew, 40 miles and I was nearly an hour off our usual pace...I told him I was ill  Still it was great to get out
Hope you had a good walk with the Boxers...but see'n I didn't get further west I didn't see any Boxers.
And, Nic how did you manage to type c****
Ahh well, its all in the a's or rather α's - see the difference - the 1st one is typed from the keyboard and the 2nd is one of the symbols in Word, I have a text document on my desktop with the list of links I type often and the word "α" to copy and paste when needed.
Its one of the methods spammers use to get round naughty word filters.
Thanks Jan, Carl and Dubbs. In the early difficult days it was quite a struggle but it was good to have the experiences of those just in front, such as RobertB and others, to help me along. The people further down the line kept saying, "it does get easier", and they were right.
Didn't realise you were a fellow resident......40 miles on the Can@l is impressive. We usually do Water of Leith as we live along the banks but only half the distance.
Can u PM the route - don't want to block board with OT's.....
I'll need to be more cautious of describing my boss etc in the future, who knows who's watching / listening!

I am your boss and a map of the route to the job centre will be included along with your P45.
Linlin, Dubbs, Tomatpots and I will keep a spot for you in the penthouse when you make it. (we're the November 2007 quitters)
Mind you, the cake and booze will have run out by then, so it's up to you to supply some "refreshment"
