pic4ever.com/images/cancan.gif I took my last Champix pill Thursday evening so I am now walking the tightrope without a safety net so to speak. Feel OK so far, I just seem to be perpetually hungry - for a change :o I just can't believe how quickly the times passing and how much better I'm feeling, the only downfall is I've put on a stone since quitting so I'm seriously going to have to think about shifting some of it, though if I can stop the smokes, losing a few lb's should be a doddle pic4ever.com/images/5yjbztv... (no sarcasm at all, la la la)

Hungry

Hi I went on a healthy eating diet the same time as I became a non-smoker although that may not be advisable I did it anyway because I was concerned about my health and it seemed to be working until I stopped the Champix! Then my appetite seemed to go crazy lol, so I am not prepared to risk my quit so I have relaxed my diet a little, I have been a non-smoker for 11 weeks 3 days 15 hours 15 minutes and 27 seconds not that I am counting Lo, and I have saved £516.07 which is a very conservative estimate I have so far put £600 towards my big reward a 60 inch smart television! I had lost 9.5lbs so I may end up putting some back on but I feel confident once I have cracked this smoking evil I will lose the weight.

Always Hungry

Hi Rex, I am eating healthily, just eating healthily for about 5 people :o My biggest thing is that everything tastes really nice, and instead of hurriedly munching half a sarnie in between puffing on 3 fags I am actually making lunch an occasion and savouring every bite now, the same for dinner too, and I'm having breakfast, then all the snacks and sweets. Hmm I think I see my problem :D

I was always one of those annoying mares who ate what she wanted and never put on an ounce, until about 2006 when I had to switch to office work and I've gained 3/4 dress sizes in that time, one of which has definitely been in the last 10 weeks :o I need to move more and eat less, at the moment I'm eating more and moving less :D As soon as I feel 100% in control of my quit I will do more, I actually quite enjoy cycling, tennis, walking, swimming etc etc, I just can't seem to be bothered at the moment

It's pretty strange that you are going through the hungry phase after finishing the Champix. I went CT and couldn't stop eating for the first month so I know how it feels. Staying with your quit is the most important, the hunger will tame itself pretty soon, and you'll be stronger for conquering one more barrier!

That's the problem, I've been hungry since the start of the quit and I find everything delicious now so keep trying lots of different foods - I'm just a greedy pic4ever.com/images/4869.gif to be honest pic4ever.com/images/bl9.gif
