Hello Cat!

Congratulations on 5 full months. You are doing brilliantly!!

I'm sorry I missed your big day yesterday.

You were a tower of strength to me in our early days on here.

I'm so glad we're still going strong!;):D

I'd like to add my congratulations too Catmagpie.

You don't post often, but when you do it makes a lot of sense.

Well done on your quit.

Glad you are still going strong.:D

Glad to se you back John. Also said this in Jude's post for five months as I have only just got back and hadn't read many.

Awwwwwwww!

Thanks guys! Time flies! I remember that first day and the fear and mixed elation I felt...If someone had told me then that I would be able to look back 5 months later, I would not have been able to imagine it. For the new quitters out there, it is true, once those first minutes, hours, days, weeks are over, you soon start getting on with it and time no longer is such an issue...

Anyway, I was away this weekend for a wedding (I did have a smoking thought or two which I got over quickly). There were a handful of smokers, huddled together together looking guilty (really!) Still, is it me or are the numbers of smokers dwindling? Or is it just that I am not looking at them in the same light anymore or no longer notice them?

xx

Hey John

Yes - I guess I do not look at them that much anymore. I was a little fixated earlier in my quit. Some kind of morbid fascination?...

How do you cope with your GF still smoking? I do not mean it in terms of your being tempted to smoke but how do you resist not preaching to her?

I would be a nightmare...
