Hola! I'm here on the 3rd day...but chest pains??

I'm really chuffed with myself - and for all fellow giver-upperers...at all stages of their quit.

Symptoms today are that I am tired, but less so than yesterday...but I have chest achey pains....? Just on my left side (near my heart worryingly).

I'm presuming that this is some symptom of my system getting back to normal (although mind keeps working.....Hypocondria is the only illness I DON'T have! No really....:) )

Is this normal? Not the being a hypocondriac bit, but the chest pain bit...

Very well done on your 3rd day People do feel a little shitty the first few days of the quit its all the nicoteen leaving the body. but maybe you should pop to the docs with the pains just to put your mind at rest. let us know how it gose. Linda xxx

Hey Laura, well done!!! You're getting there. Day 3 was definitely the worst for me, then you start to feel the fog beginning to lift a bit, so keep on in there.

On the chest pains, I don't know what causes them but I wouldn't worry too much, maybe get them checked out for piece of mind as linda says. Last time I tried quitting CT I got shooting pains up my legs and allsorts, it was a bit worrying - but I think it's just the body kicking back. Remember, you're reprogramming your entire system and getting rid of a lot of rubbish to boot, so there's inevitably gonna be some physical effects.

Something else to look forward to though - by day 5 you'll feel that energy coming back and it feels marvellous!!!! Absolutely brill. Keep eating or you'll really feel your blood sugar crashing if you don't. I'm was up at 6 this morning (and I have NEVER been a morning person) and I don't feel tired in the slightest. Its bizarre and unique.

So keep on keeping on becasue there're some big, cool benefits just around the corner!

Chris :)

Thanks All!

Other than the chest pains, I am feeling a lot better than yesterday - better concentration (I was about as useful as a chocolate fire guard at work yesterday!)

Also...on train on the way home from work yesterday I was so tired I fell into such a deep sleep that I woke myself up letting out a massive snore! lol. Not the most embarrassing thing I have done in public, but definitely not cool. (I pretended to remain asleep to hide the public shame!)

So I'm holding out for the 'having loads of energy thing'....and as I'm not a big 'go to the dr' person, so I'll give it a couple of days with the chest pains - I'm sure your right, the weird chest ache will go in a day or two!

Thanks again!

Hi Laura - Well done on getting to day 3. Things do get easier. I have found that I'm also waking up early. Most times I get up before o/h which is usually unheard of:cool:

I'm sorry pet but couldn't resist the following in view of the above:
