JJ has directed me here as I thought I was still a 3 week girl but seemingly I'm a 1 month girl!!
Frankly I can not believe I got here in one piece without murdering someone but I did. Been a tough week, I have PMT (too much information I know) and I think the Champix is really affecting my moods. I can cope with the cravings but the mood swings are becoming hard work especially for the people I love. Honestly I am becoming the teenager from hell and I'm 42! I even said to someone yesterday 'do I look bothered', can someone just shoot me please
I was thinking of cutting down on the Champix (been on them 4 weeks) and then coming off them in another week or so. What do you think? My other question is to the people who have finished their Champix course, did your mood improve when you finished or was there no difference?
Anyway enough with this moaning lark, where’s the wine and chocolate (stamping my feet here;)).

Hey Christine
happy 1 month birthday well done god time flies, a huge well done
I love your post! and I feel exactly the same way, I've been abrupt to people, even my boss and use "whatever" quite a lot!!! even my 14 year old son is sometimes puzzled with my attitude
I can't say that I'm irritable, but I just seem to have very radical mood swings
Saying that Christine, and although it's difficult not to feel guilty, we have made a radical change in our lives and our brain, body etc... are all over the place and I think most of our loved ones, colleagues, families, understand that.
as for wine and chocolate, I recommend a Rosé de Provence and some Ben & Jerry's Fish Food ice cream yum
Being angry abrupt irritated is normal as is being emotional don't fret it will pass Promise your bi=osy has to adjust and heal which it will do all by itslef in i's own time OK
This isn't the champix causing it at all i used champix and when I stopped taking it the was no difference at all but your moodiness should be gone before that I took it for 8 weeks that's 1 week smoking and 7 quit
As for the feet stamping I guess you want that wine OK one large glass coming up sorry it's white I don't have Red
Well done Christine you have done brilliantly (Despite the PMT) lol
I kept forgetting to take the evening pill and the doctor said well if it doesnt bother you then just take the one a day and see how it goes ...been fine so far...as we know tho Champix effects different people in different ways.
As for the mood swings according to the girlfriend my moods do swing from being a complete P**** to being a total K*** E** and that was BEFORE i gave up lol

Ben & Jerry's oh yes!!
My hubby (bless him) is now sleeping with 1 eye open (just in case). However back on the training and diet thing again which makes me feel better.
Onward and upwards, you, jj and I will be celebrating our 1 year together. We can have a 2 day party from the 12/13th of October 2010!!
Bradders...isn't this the room for inbetween week 3 and end of the first month? Not for when you've finished one month
JJ
you have confused me too, are you asking what part of the forum you should be in ? or commenting on the fact i have congratulated someone for reaching a brlliant part in her quit even though i have completed over a month in my quit ?
ok 1 not sure where you should be as it is an open forum and no set rules where you should post.

Ah so you are here. You dont phone, you dont write and then turn up demanding wine......love it...
Glad you are still here Christine, we are all doing so well.
Since your my quit date twin if your in here then im residing here too lol sorry i havent been around past few days have been wallowing in self pity - nah busy week and have been too tired to think bout the dirty evil sticks.
As for the champix, i took them for the full 14 days before i stopped smoking, then continued two a day for a week, then kept only managing one a day or sometimes none for another week as i kept forgetting to take them and then i just didnt go for another prescription as i couldnt be bothered, i think they were great at the start but for me personally they served their purposes and i think at this stage my cravings are associated with the habit as opposed to the physical craving for an evil stick lol
Everyones different tho, stoping champix hasnt made me any less moody but i always was a mardy cow even when i did smoke least i have an excuse this time lol they were making me feel sick tho and the dreams were still a bit crazy so personally even tho they were brilliant at the start and i dont know whether i could have done it this time without them im glad im off them now lol
Feck me ive typed way way too much, as for wine i could murder a glass (or bottle) of oyster bay savignon but alas i might indulge when we get to our one month.
Proud of ya misses and all others on here who are fighting the demon cravings and have came through stronger, if we can do this we can do anything.

Hey Christine,
Well done on getting to week 4. Sorry it was a tough week for you......... I didn't take Champix but I still had the mood swing stuff...... things calm down in time just be patient and don't be too hard on yourself..... you are making a huge change in your life and you know stress can make the pmt worse. So hang in there! It'll get better! xxx
You can all have the wine cos I don't drink anyway...but as far as the men in the pic are concerned....I'll have one for breakfast, one for lunch and one for dinner! ta very much Should keep the weight off!
Feeling much more calm now...could be because hubby is away

2 same as above ...and well done again Christine
You've got me even more confused...I'm not sure if I'm being told off or not I'd better go and sit on the naughty step for a bit
