Hey Im here
I'm here and so's my housemate- and i so havent fallen off the wagon- she is being really supportive and is smoking every cigarette in the town so i cant have any...
But seriously I havent had one, and I havent stayed in i've been out everyday and every evening and er every night lol. Somethings clicked in my head and i just despise the thought of it.
Something someone sent me explained the theory that each craving is just your mind alerting you that you are doing something which you would normally associate with smoking, so each time you go through that situation and dont smoke you are relearning behaviour and learning not to associate smoking with that particular act.
So now that the really strong cravings that we experienced in the first week are diminishing, i think that the answer is to get out there and live as much as i can and face as many situations as i can so that i can quickly relearn my smoking associations and lose them altogether.
Just a bit of warning for everyone though- i found the end of week 2 for some reason is another difficult milestone, I'm gonna spend this week making sure i've steeled myself for it because Ive cracked at week 2 so many times.
Havent read everyones posts because just been totally rushed this weekend but i hope you are all doing really well.
Did you all go down with this flu bug- think we are all probably more suseptable to it at the moment as our lungs and throat are a bit raw anyway as they heal.
Well done to everyone who's done their first week, im really proud of myself- thanks antifag u've really helped. xxx
