Mornin everyone, yes I am awake at crap o'clock when I should be sleeping!
I'm up at this hour because I was drinking last night :o. Got ridiculously drunk but at the end it was
Drinks: about 10
Cigs: Nil
Didn't want to smoke, didn't think about cigarettes other than to think 'Thank God I don't have to do that anymore!'
I watched the smokers obligingly go outside, stand on the street in the freezing cold and stand huddled round smelly ashtrays. I can't believe I used to do that. To all the smokers there last night who smoke for enjoyment, it didn't look like you were enjoying it very much from where I was sitting.............
I sat in the same seat all night, usually (when I smoked) it was musical chairs and the social side of it disrupted my smoking. I can't remember a night i've enjoyed like that in a very long time because I wasn't despising myself for chain smoking and damaging the liver at the same time.
I have a killer headache now, but my hair smells of shampoo instead of smoke and my chest doesn't hurt from smoking 40 cigarettes in an evening.
Feeling proud of myself I LOVE BEING A NON SMOKER!!
Thought i'd come in and say that, I haven't been around much for a few days, had loads to do but pleased everyone is still doing well.
Have a nice weekend, i'm going back to bed

I still feel really uncertain of what I'd do if I was to get a touch too tight. Used to be a BIG trigger for me.
My son's birthday coming up on 10th April, and he's a considerable drinker and a smoker too...so's my daughter (who is coming down for the bash)...and I'll be arriving straight off three weeks with absolutely no alchohol, cos I can't drink where I work...
Hmmm...time for some prep work I think!
It must be great for the confidence to go through that. I saw a post on here from someone who got so wasted they couldn't remember their evening at all, but were told by friends that they didn't smoke...now there's a well trained subconscious!
I'd bet £100 I couldn't do that.
Have a good day and congratulations on still being an EX smoker!
Hi Bill, in all honesty I thought I would have been outside smoking myself dizzy with the best of them but something in me just saw smokers for what they were..... drug addicts that are more to be pitied than laughed at (my mum says that).
I tasted wine like never before and really enjoyed the night. I hope you enjoy the party and don't get too tied up on not smoking.
I wasn't going to drink at all for a month but decided to try it and see, thankfully it worked out ok, but if it wasn't for the smoking ban....... (or maybe I did it inspite of it all and wouldn't have smoked regardless...?)
Enjoy the birthday bash, just go on and on about how great it is being non smoker and hopefully your kids will join you
Hurrah! Yippee! Brilliant! Your post really cheered me up this morning - isn't life just great?
The sun is shining here, and soon my house will be too. (If I ever get off this keyboard, that is! lol) I seem to have renewed energy and you get so much more done when you don't have to keep stopping for a fag break, don't you?

Enjoy your kip and have a great weekend!
Glad I could be of service! Yes life is better if you don't smoke
