woooo! congratulations mate! im here day 5!! so happy, no cravings so far, just a slight sickly feeling in my stomach, and whats better is i went to the pub last night, hada couple of pints and didn't feel the need for a cigarette so hopefully i should be ok over the weekend,
but tomorrow i join the father in law and a few of his "armchair survivalist" friends for some fun on the live ammo range in wednesbury so while we assert our hunter gatherer masculinity i'll have to avoid the temptation of having a fag in the corner of my mouth whilst posing with a gun
haha! i think i should manage that pretty well
really pleased to be in day 5, it was the 5th day when i cracked last time and i didnt feel as strong as i do this time, also really happy to see you here Andy i really hope the others made it too, Charlene, Ruth, Anna - are you here?
i am meant to be at a poker tourney tonight but i think im going to have to give it a miss, id like to think i would be strong enough to get through it without lighting up but im not ready to risk all the hard work this week, my stress levels can get pretty high at the poker table, i might risk going for a few drinks tomorrow to watch the football it should be a little easier with the smoking ban.
Hi Andy, Jimi, Flippy. Yes I am here also and can't quite believe it as, unlike you guys, I seem to be taking it 5 minutes at a time and still don't feel confident. It's not all doom and gloom though. I am pleased with myself its just that I know what I'm like and if things get too much I'm worried I will crack plus I have been devious in the past and done secret smoking. I have to get over that.
I agree with Andy, I couldn't have done this so far and cold turkey without the help of the fantastic people on this forum. Thank you all sooooo much. It is invaluable.
Is anyone else still having sleep problems after 5 days because I tell you all I am exhausted. I stayed up until approx 2.00am and had wine and still clock watching all night. Driving me potty.
Weekend is a bit of a worry but not as much for me as I don't go out really and my o/h doesn't smoke but we do like a glass or four of wine at weekends. Hopefully I'll be too tired to bother.
