Day 2.... still here...

Good morning!

Today is Day 2 and it will be harder. The cravings, urges, irritability, all will be more difficult than yesterday. I can already tell.

I have my rubber band on around my wrist, lozenges for just-in-case in my purse (trying not to indulge in them too much, they have nicotine too).

It was easier to get up the stairs at work when I arrived this morning (four flights, 12 steps each, several times a day).

I went for a walk this morning, 1/2 hour, first time in several months.

I am eating food in an alarming amount.

Hi Tish

Good on ya for taking a walk. That not only helps to keep you healthy bt also makes your brain release the @good feelings@ that you previously relied on the ciggies for. Don' worry about the weight - it woll even itself out in a few months - far better to eat than smoke! Stay strong sweetie.

Thank you both, I appreciate it, and you're right about the lozenges.

I crossed yesterday off on my calendar as soon as I got in to work this morning. Will have to do the same at home.

I fully intend to cross off tomorrow, too.

Day 2 that's great! This week & next week might be a little rough but hang in there cause it gets so much better in the next coming weeks after. You go girl!:p I am an eating machine too, but it's better than smoking!:D
