Sigh - he had to leave again for work and this time it's for a week. I will be lonely, but I know I won't smoke because I made it through his last trip just fine! Just sucks being sooo bored without him.

Once upon a time I would have come up with several suggestions as to how you could entertain yourself whilst he is away.

I might even have suggested me being there.

However, this is the new improved 'Saint Diablo' so I couldn't possibly.

Why not try needlecraft or something? Smoking ain't the answer, and you know it!

My hubby is away too at the moment. Hes gone to San Francisco which is bloody miles away!!! This is the 3rd time hes been away since May this year. Last 2 times he went away,yep,you guessed it - I Smoked (even though I'd quit afew days earlier. Then when he came back I felt terrible a) for smoking in the first place and b) for being too weak to face up to my boredom and lonliness without turning to cigs. Having a cig didn't magically make him appear at the front door.He was still thousands of miles away.

This time has been soooooooooooo different. Yes I still get lonely and bored but

I realise that smoking isn't going to help any or make him come home any quicker

(only thing that'll do that is a wicked tail wind!!!) Its funny cos although hes been away a few days now and isn't due back until the weekend the time has simply flown By.(even quicker than If I was still smoking!)

Here I am on my couch with my laptop on my lap and putting in the time just like Buffy suggested

Diablo :eek: I would never!!! Now I know you were just saying that's what you would have said when you were the old Diablo but thank goodness you are a new Diablo.

Kazza I am not going to smoke don't you worry!! Smoke will not make him appear at the door and I know it My hubby is gone to Virginia this time. He has been away twice in 3 weeks He will be going away again one week after he returns from this trip too. He returns on Friday this trip.

I keep talking to the dog hehe!! I went out with my Mother-in-law today and we had dinner and stuff so the time has kinda one by, but not all that fast. I have a sleepin pill for tonight cause I have a hard time sleeping when he is gone. I will pop that down soon as it is 10:55pm here now.

My hubby will be back Fri eve . When does yours return? I guess you've had really serious discussions with your beautiful dog. I've had mega conversations re; smoking with my cat - and she agrees that it's CRAP!

Well I haven't been on the forum in a few days but I am still smoke free and hubby is back He was to return on Friday night, but he came in Friday afternoon instead He is home now and will be here until Nov. 12th and then off again for a week. Thats the LAST trip hopefully for a long time. Your hubby got home okay Kazza?
