Good Information To understand addiction
Hello Salviaforme,
Are you trying to quit smoking?
I personally can't see a useful connection between the material in your link and quitting smoking and in any case it's very basic pyschology.
If you are tyring to quit you've come to the right place. You'll get good support here.

Did you read the article DickyBoy? I thought this section on smoking was relevant to smoking...
"...The trouble with habits is that when we do the same thing over and over again what happens? We get the same result over and over again! In fact people become so comfortable with their habits that they will continue to do them even if that habit isn’t doing them any good.
Take smoking for example. Smoking is a bad habit that harms your health, yet people still smoke. They have developed a habit and with that habit comes a comfort zone...As long as they maintain their habit and the comfort it gives them, they will resist change even if it is beneficial for them..."
forgot to add this, here is a link to a book you can download for free that may help you quit.
just a question, are you in the process of giving up smoking at the moment?
I see you went offline when people tried to question you...
Everyone here has there own reasons for quitting and just in case you didnt realise this forum is here so we can support each other, not for people to come on and harrangue forum users, or to use the forum as a sounding board to preach at forum users or to try and push web links onto forum users.
If you are not giving up smoking or thinking about it and coming here for genuine support then please dont come on here ramming your opinions down everyones necks!
